Why Investroo

We’re one of a kind

More in your pocket

With no fees to open an account, no minimums, and no ongoing fees, you can begin investing in U.S. equities for just $0.99/trade.

Invest in a liquid market

The US stock market is driven by the economic laws of supply and demand and is, therefore, very liquid. This means that individual investors, like you, can enter into and exit positions in accordance with your own investing strategies.

Live support

We offer live customer support in English, Spanish, and Chinese. Our support team is available by phone and email to answer any questions you may have regarding your account.

Bank-level security and encryption

We utilize latest SSL technology to encrypt, monitor and protect your data. Investor securities are held in an omnibus account at the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Financial Services (“ICBSFS”), the US subsidiary of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China™, the largest bank in the world in terms of customers and assets.

Value driven

Ethically sound.
(and shariah-compliant!)

We partner with global market leaders in screening equities to provide you a hassle-free, pre-filtered investing experience. The screens are based on a hybrid research-based approach employing state-of-the-art technologies as well as manual research to identify socially responsible stocks.

Industry Screen

Companies are only to be considered compliant from a business perspective if the cumulative revenue from non-compliant activities and non-operating interest income does not exceed 5% of their total income. Non-compliant income sources include the following:

Alcohol beverages

Tobacco products

Conventional financial services

Conventional insurance

Hotels serving alcohol or operating casinos

Adult entertainment

Financial Screen

The second step of the screening process examines whether a company is primarily profiting from interest or usury, or if the business has taken on a large amount of interest-based debt. Companies will fail ethical parameters if any of the following conditions exist:

Company’s total debt relative to its assets exceeds 33%

Company’s total liquid assets including cash and short term investments relative to its total assets exceeds 33%

Company’s total receivables relative to its total assets exceeds 33%

Company’s interest income relative to its total revenue exceeds 5%
